Bentley Systems is seeking a talented Associate Software Engineer to join our international team. You will influence the development of the world’s infrastructure, gain valuable experience with the latest technologies, and work on challenging tasks every day with highly skilled professionals on next-generation software.
Responsibilities
Your Day-to-Day
- Work closely with your mentor for daily tasks.
- Solve assigned tasks with quality.
- Write unit tests.
- Develop software engineering knowledge.
- Understand and resolve PR comments.
- Review and learn from others’ PRs and provide reasonable feedback.
- Work with the team in an agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery software development process.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience
Basic Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Ability to solve problems with guidance from seniors.
- Good communication skills, able to explain problems and ask the right questions.
- Knowledge of Computer Science, algorithms, and data structures.
- Basic understanding of graphics design/computer graphics and transformations.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Comfortable with one of the following tech stacks: .NET/C++ or TypeScript/Node.js.
- Understanding of unit testing and TDD.
- Basic debugging skills.
- Basic knowledge of database concepts (SQL/NoSQL).
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in Mathematics (Geometry).
- Familiarity with Agile methodology (Scrum).
- Knowledge of web development frameworks like React.
- Understanding of DevOps.
- Familiarity with Design Patterns, SOLID, and DRY principles.
- Experience with Git (DCVS).
