Job Overview
We are looking for an Analyst to join the New Data Innovation Analytics team within the US Consumer Analytics team. The role involves developing use cases to enable growth and competitive benchmarking by leveraging bureau data, third-party data, and in-house modeling capabilities for the US Consumer portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer engagement on Amex cards compared to external cards.
- Track and diagnose Share of Wallet trends to identify signs of disengagement.
- Enhance the Share of Wallet framework using external data for accurate revenue measurement.
Insight Development
- Develop insights on generational relevance to identify changing customer preferences and behaviors.
- Collaborate with partners to optimize profitability frameworks.
Data Management
- Partner with internal and external teams to manage industry-level data needs.
- Enable competitive benchmarking of our portfolio.
Innovation and Growth
- Explore new internal and external data sources/capabilities.
- Build use cases from scratch to drive growth.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education
- Post-Graduation/Graduation from a top-tier college.
Experience
- 0-1 years of experience in data analytics.
Skills
- Self-starter with the ability to drive insights from data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to learn quickly and navigate unstructured problems.
- Ability to integrate with cross-functional business partners worldwide.
- Programming skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL and Python is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel).
