Job Description
Apple is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to develop and maintain highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable enterprise applications that can handle Apple volumes. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and project managers to define solutions and estimate the scope of work required. You will work with global teams in the US, Singapore, and Europe, delivering solutions that keep up with rapidly evolving products in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Maintain Applications
- Develop highly reliable and scalable enterprise applications.
- Ensure applications are maintainable and can handle large volumes.
Collaborate and Define Solutions
- Engage with team members and cross-functional teams to understand requirements.
- Work with project managers to define solutions and estimate work scope.
Global Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams.
- Work with teams across the US, Singapore, and Europe to deliver impactful solutions.
Review and Improve
- Review technical designs and perform code reviews.
- Ensure solutions evolve rapidly and meet Apple’s standards.
Essential Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in building large-scale, complex web applications.
- Expertise in usability and accessibility guidelines (WCAG Accessibility Guidelines).
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles from design to operations.
- In-depth understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Full Stack Technical Skills:
- JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js, TypeScript.
- Backend languages like Java and Go.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services.
Testing and Prototyping:
- Write unit and end-to-end tests using tools such as Jest, Playwright, React Testing Library.
- Collaborate with UX Designers to prototype user experiences during the design phase.
Additional Skills
- Broader web development ecosystem expertise in:
- GraphQL, Redux, Web Components, WebRTC, Vite, Webpack, ESLint.
- Experience with databases like Oracle, Snowflake, Singlestore, Teradata, and NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Redis.
- Experience building data models to support low latency apps.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with team members and project stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python.
- Broader web development ecosystem knowledge, including various frontend technologies and tools.
Education & Experience
- B.Tech/M.Tech/M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
