Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer at Gartner, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based web applications that drive our Research Content strategy. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of Gartner’s mission-critical priorities.
Responsibilities
- Development: Lead the development of web-based applications using React, Node.js, JavaScript, and Typescript.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit tests, address defects promptly, and ensure the highest quality standards are met.
- Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Agile Methodology: Actively engage in all Scrum ceremonies/meetings, communicate roadblocks, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Learning and Growth: Stay updated on emerging technologies, learn new skills quickly, and apply them effectively to projects.
Requirements
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in web-based application/software development.
- Experience with Cloud-based development (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Strong MVC design experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS (preferred) or Angular.
- Strong relational database knowledge including SQL.
- Thorough understanding of development methodologies, standards, and design patterns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
Preferred:
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in BE/Btech, ME/MTech, or MCA.
- Experience customizing Cloud collaboration tools.
