Job Description

We are looking for passionate Java developers to join our highly motivated Product Area Time Engineering team in SAP SuccessFactors, who work with a ‘Quality First’ mindset. This role offers a chance to work in an environment where continuous learning and on-the-job innovation are highly encouraged. The opportunity to develop and deliver features that touch the day-to-day lives of the employees of more than 3,000 SuccessFactors Time customers is a significant aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Developer in an agile development environment, you will:

  • Contribute to Development, Architecture, and Concept Definition: Collaborate with team members to define and develop innovative software solutions.
  • Design, Implement, Test, Maintain, and Provide Customer Support for Delivered Features: Ensure the quality and reliability of the features you deliver.
  • Participate in Defining, Developing, and Managing Software Development Models: Engage in continuous improvement of development processes.
  • Collaborate Across Teams and Time Zones: Work closely with colleagues from different teams and regions to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Develop for SuccessFactors Time Management Product: Work on features and enhancements that impact the daily lives of thousands of employees globally.

Required Skills

Technical Skills:

  • Java Development and Web Services (REST, oData): Expertise in building scalable and performant applications.
  • Object-Oriented Programming Principles and Design Patterns: Strong understanding of OOP principles and the ability to apply design patterns effectively.
  • Relational Database and SQL: Solid foundation in database design and query optimization.

Development Practices:

  • Agile/Scrum: Experience in agile development methodologies with a passion for unit testing, integration testing, and test automation.
  • Lean Development Infrastructure Processes: Knowledge of tools like Git, Jenkins, and exposure to Continuous Delivery practices.
  • DevOps Mindset: An inherent sense of ownership throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.

Experience and Education:

  • Experience: 3 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Education: BE / BTech / MCA / MS / MTech in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology.
