In the PLM Core cluster, you will contribute to designing and delivering software development and installation services. Your work will ensure the continuous flow of In-Car software releases to end-users, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders within a global environment, in one of today’s most exciting industries.
Main Responsibilities
Software Development
- Develop new features and functionalities: Work iteratively, often from minimal requirements.
- Testing and troubleshooting: Ensure applications function correctly.
- Maintain consistent coding standards: Support multiple car platforms with reusable components.
Collaboration and Analysis
- Analyze requirements: Identify architectural challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with Developers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Stakeholders to develop comprehensive solutions.
- Apply a DevOps mindset: Utilize agile/Scrum methodologies for continuous improvement.
Do You Fit the Profile?
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: B.E, MCA, BSc, MSc, or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- Industry Experience: 3 years in the automotive industry.
- Programming Experience: 5 years in mainframe development and COBOL.
- Web Services: 5 years in developing REST APIs and using z/OS Connect.
- Database Knowledge: Proficient in DB2.
- DevOps Tools: Experience with Azure Pipelines.
- Testing Tools: Proficient in using Postman.
- System Design: Large-scale system design experience and comprehensive understanding of the development process.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent teamwork and support skills.
- Growth Mindset: Embrace and encourage a growth mindset within the team.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with SAFe and Scrum.
Meritorious Experience
- Familiarity with Volvo Cars’ Configuration Management and PLM systems.
- Experience with automation testing tools like Cypress.
- Knowledge of Axiomatics.
- Proficiency in CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Java and NodeJS.
- Familiarity with TypeScript.
